3 Day Tour
Spend three days 4WD touring the Outback opal mining town
of Andamooka. Visit Woomera, once the launch site for
experimental rockets and learn about Aboriginal art and
culture.

travelling via Port Augusta. At Port Augusta visit the
Wadlata Outback Centre, learn about the origins of the
Flinders Ranges, the Aboriginal Dreaming, European settlement,
Explorers and much more.
After morning tea travel to Woomera, established in 1947
for launching experimental rockets, but now no longer

Park displaying examples of rockets, aircraft and weapons
associated with the testing range. Overnight accommodation

the many Showrooms or perhaps try "noodling" for your
own opal. Tour to the shimmering white salt of Lake Torrens,
time permitting. See the sights of Roxby Downs with an
optional tour of the Olympic Dam Mine. Overnight at Andamooka
or Roxby Downs.
Day Three

Visit the Farina Ruins, first surveyed in 1878.
After morning tea head to Lyndhurst via the spectacular
red and brown Ochre Cliffs. After lunch travel through
the magnificent Flinders Ranges to Port Augusta en route
to Adelaide, arriving at approximately 6pm.
